When I first watched the stream last night I immediately knew what I wanted to make. My idea with “Last Stand” was to create a sort of Tower Defence, nothing to crazy as this is my first game jam. I decided to give it a sort of endless waves gameplay thing. To get the enemies to spawn, the game always begins with a base amount of 15 enemies, it then immediately starts to add a random amount for each wave. I did make sure to cap it at a 50% increase for maximum, and 25% for minimum. This ensures that the game always gets harder the longer you play while also ensuring a random bumps in difficulty to keep the player on edge. The enemies that are spawned are also selected randomly. After all that I quickly got the character movement going in order to prepare for tomorrow.
